Have you ever wondered how a new piece of music comes to life? Here is your chance to find out.

This summer, three composers have been in residence with JAM, each writing a brand new work for solo accordion: Zhenyan Li, George W. Parris and Noah Max. Before those pieces receive their world premieres on Saturday, we are opening the doors on a working masterclass.

You will watch the brilliant accordionist Ryan Corbett play the new commissions while international composer Paul Mealor LVO, who has guided the residency, helps shape the music in real time. It is a rare and fascinating look at the craft behind the concert. Whether you love music, make it yourself, or are simply curious, you are warmly welcome.

The masterclass is free to attend, and places are limited, so please reserve your ticket.

Please note: this masterclass was originally scheduled for 2pm and now begins at 11am. We are sorry for any inconvenience the change may cause.
