Overview
JAM’s Quarterly Art Projects offer welcoming, time-limited opportunities for people to develop creative skills, build confidence and connect with others through making art.
Following fully booked projects in 2025, the programme will expand in 2026 with four new four-week projects, responding to strong local demand and growing artist engagement.
How It Works
Each project runs for four weeks and is led by an established artist drawn from JAM’s expanding network of practitioners.
Projects are planned for April, June, August and October, offering regular points of creative engagement across the year and supporting participants to develop skills, purpose and sociability in a supportive environment.
Building Confidence Through Creativity
The structured but supportive nature of the projects allows participants to try new approaches, overcome self-doubt and take pride in what they achieve.
“I began the four weeks thinking there is no way I can do this, and walked away being proud of what I produced and achieved.”
Sharing Work in the Community
The artwork created through each project is exhibited first at the Romney Marsh Community Hub, before transferring to the Romney Marsh Leisure Centre.
By placing exhibitions in everyday community spaces, JAM brings art into people’s daily lives — catching attention where it is least expected and encouraging wider engagement with creative practice.
Lasting Impact
Quarterly Art Projects demonstrate how accessible, professionally led creative activity can build confidence, strengthen community connection and nurture a sense of achievement, long after the workshops themselves have ended.
