Graham Lynch - Submitted 2006

Graham Lynch was born in London, and gained a Ph.D in composition from Kings College London, as well as studying privately with Oliver Knussen. His music has been played and recorded/broadcast throughout many countries and by many leading performers, including the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. He also writes tangos for both tango and classical ensembles, and recently collaborated with the Belcea Quartet on arrangements of Piazzolla, which were commissioned by the Bath Festival. Forthcoming premieres include a saxophone quartet, given by the Kintamarni Quartet in Cheltenham, two clavichord works, which will be performed by Gregory Crowell in Boston, and a new piece for the German tango group Las Sombras.
