Richard Peat - Submitted 2005

Richard Peat's first publicly performed work, Tenebrae, was given by the Britten Sinfonia at the Sounds New festival in 1997. Subsequently, he studied with Paul Max Edlin, and then at City University with Rhian Samuel, where he gained a BMus with first class honours and an MA with distinction. He is now pursuing a doctorate funded by the AHRB at City, where he also teaches theory and composition.

He has had commissions and other pieces performed in concerts and workshops by professional musicians such as the Britten Sinfonia, the Kreutzer Quartet, Icebreaker, Jane Manning, Helen Reid, Sarah James, Tom Arthurs, Camilla Pay, the Korros ensemble, the choir of St. Bride's Fleet Street, the Aurora Ensemble, the Bergamo Ensemble and Ixion.
