Julian Allwood - Submitted 2005
Julian Allwood trained both as an engineer and a musician, and is now a lecturer in engineering at Cambridge while continuing to work as a composer. He studied with Francis Shaw at the Guildhall and on various short courses at Dartington Summer School. His works are mainly for voices. Recent performances include two staged runs of "Charades" at the Battersea Arts Centre, the London premiere of "Mettimi come un sigillo sul tuo cuore" by the Elysian Singers, and the first part of a staged setting of Choral Evensong by the choir of Gonville and Caius College. Julian has been organist of St George in the East Church, conductor of the Royal London Hospital Chorus and the Singers of London.
